Terms of Service
1. The Service
QuoteBake (the "Service", "we", "us") is a web application that helps bakers cost recipes and produce client quotes. It is operated from the United Kingdom and made available at quotebake.co.uk and app.quotebake.co.uk.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction. You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep it up to date.
- Notify us immediately at hello@quotebake.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise attempt to extract our source code or database.
- Use the Service to send spam, harass others, or distribute unlawful content.
- Attempt to access another user's account or data.
- Probe, attack, or otherwise interfere with the Service or its security measures.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service itself (you may, of course, freely sell the cakes you quote with it).
5. Free tier and paid plans
- The free tier allows up to five saved quotes per account. We may change the free tier limits with reasonable notice.
- Pro plans (Monthly and Annual) are billed in advance through Stripe. Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change with at least 14 days' notice for existing subscribers.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from inside the app — your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period and is not refunded for unused time, except where required by law.
- If a payment fails we will retry; if we still cannot collect we may downgrade your account to the free tier. Your data remains in place.
6. Refunds
We offer a discretionary refund of the most recent payment if you contact us within 14 days of being charged and your account has had no meaningful use during that period. Email hello@quotebake.co.uk and we'll work it out.
7. Your data
The recipes, ingredients, quotes, logo, and business details you upload remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display them solely as needed to operate the Service. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.
8. Our intellectual property
The QuoteBake name, logo, software, and design are owned by us. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service itself without our written permission.
9. Availability
We do our best to keep QuoteBake available and working, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, upgrades, or events outside our reasonable control may cause downtime.
10. Limitation of liability
QuoteBake helps you calculate prices but you remain responsible for the prices you charge your customers and the accuracy of your underlying recipes and costs. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses (e.g. lost profits, lost business). Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us during that period (or £25, if you are on the free tier).
11. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. If we terminate your account without cause and you have an active paid subscription, we will refund the unused portion.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be notified by email where appropriate, with at least 14 days' notice before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to your statutory consumer rights.
